Clint Patty, J.D., our firm’s Executive Vice President and General Counsel, has been appointed to the Citizens Utility Ratepayer Board (CURB).
Former Kansas Gov. Jeff Colyer appointed Clint to the Citizens’ Utility Ratepayer Board in December, and Clint has joined four other appointed board members. Clint represents Topeka’s congressional district, with his four-year term beginning January 1, 2019.
As stated on the independent agency’s website, CURB’s mission is to “zealously protect the interests of residential and small commercial utility ratepayers before the Kansas Corporation Commission and the Kansas legislature.”
“I was humbled to accept the governor’s appointment,” Clint said. “It’s a privilege to represent the interests of individual ratepayers and do my part in protecting the public interest.”
In addition to serving as Executive Vice President and General Counsel for our fiduciary advisory firm, Clint spent 17 years as an attorney in private practice in Topeka. He has represented a variety of clients in the areas of corporate and business law, employment law, governmental relations, and administrative law.
