TOPEKA, Kansas—November 28, 2022—Clayton Wealth Partners was honored to sponsor the annual Women’s Fund Luncheon on October 19 at the Topeka Country Club. This year marked the second time that the Registered Investment Advisor has sponsored the luncheon.
The Women’s Fund is a donor-advised fund of the Topeka Community Foundation. Its mission is to “promote women’s leadership in philanthropy, increase charitable contributions and strengthen their value through collective giving, and encourage a new generation of philanthropists.”
Elizabeth Young, CFP®, a Senior Wealth Advisor at Clayton Wealth Partners, is the current Chair of the Board of The Women’s Fund. Young, a Board member since 2018, said she has seen firsthand the impact of the fund’s philanthropy.
“The collective giving made possible by The Women’s Fund is a powerful one,” Young said. “Not only does it impact the organizations we give funds to, but it changes the lives of donors too. They realize they can have a significant impact on the Topeka and Shawnee community.”
The Women’s Fund allocates grants through a voting process by fund members and in support of projects and programs benefiting women and children. This year’s grant recipients are:
- Project 2 Restore, a faith-based restorative home for survivors of sexual exploitation offering programs and support
- Topeka Rescue Mission Ministries, ministering to those in need by bringing help and hope through serving those experiencing homelessness and hunger
- Valeo Behavioral Health Care, providing mental health and substance use recovery services for the Topeka community since 1967
- Sunflower Music Festival, bringing international performers from the major orchestras and conservatories of the world together in Topeka to form a chamber orchestra and chamber classical and jazz music groups
